If you are White, have you ever felt discriminated against by a person of another race or a person belonging to a ‘minority’ group.

Racism is racism, it doesn't matter what race you are. It's ridiculous to think that "reverse" racism is anything more than racism. Racism isn't a ONE-WAY street and NEVER has been.

I wanted to respond in a specific way. Then, I recognized it would only fuel an issue which, along with racism itself, deserves to die out! If we will only let it. We are connected as long as we choose to be. When we attach labels to identify ourselves and our issues, we become separate. The choice is ours, the outcome is ours as well.
Peace be with you!

I have, in a hiring capacity, been " legally " forced to hire one race over another, even when all qualifications are equal.
No concerns were given to who might better relate to the staff already in place.
No concerns were given to who might have the child care ( a very important concern) issues.
No concerns were afforded to the transportation issues.
No concerns were given to the, " I have to leave by 4 pm" claims.
It did, yes, it did, come down to this....................I must hire a percentage of
"other than caucasion " races.
So, with all of your education, personal expericences, with all that you can give testimony to.................Is this not a form of discrimination?
That is my professional story.
This is my personal one..........
Why the hell, do YOU think that I owe YOU, because our distant ancestors " were slaves" or " slave owners"?.
WHY?...................I never whipped you in my garden...........I NEVER held a gun against your arrow..................I never stepped a foot off of the ship that invaded your land.
Yes, I agree, great injustices have been done...............but I did not do them.
Stop blaming me, because, I am a "European descendant"..............

Affirmative action leads to reverse discrimination. Japanese students are putting 'other' to avoid trying to beat another Japanese ethnic background. The theory that is widely used to support affirmative action is compensatory justice. The hearts behind the concept were good however the AA policies themselves were discriminatory.

The classification for extension of benefits should be on a secular i.e. "non-discriminatory, non-communal and non-caste" basis and any person who satisfy such secular conditions of classification should be eligible for such benefits. The assumption of the backwardness limited to certain castes is wholly fallacious and should not be allowed to continue ... I am from dalit background but have made everywhere on merit without using any quotas. But since I have the background everyone takes for granted that what I have achieved is with help of reservation crutches."

I have never experienced racism personally, although I have witnessed it. Sexism, yes. Any time anyone makes choices based on race or skin color whether black, white or whatever --it is racism. So of course there is reverse racism..

Is there such a thing? Asians fall into the cracks of neither minortity or homogeneous.Lets face it! It is who you know that gets you in the door.
With all this social networking, Can companies get away with profiling every person of color. What color are we speaking of? I thought the US was a melting pot anyways.

Wow, some incredible answers here. You figure out what I'm saying by that. There is no such thing as reverse racism. If you are white and don't like blacks or some other ethnicity, you are a racist. If you are black and don't like whites or some other ethnicity, you are a racist. If you are Vietnamese and don't like Chinese, you are a racist. What the heck is anyone thinking about "reverse-racism."
If racism, and I say a big IF, has increased in this country, it has occurred since 2007 when Obama went on the campaign trail. BUT we have a black president so where's the racism there? It took a whole lot of white people to put that socialist in the office he's in. Just because liberals use race to divide us does not mean that America is full of racists. Unless you want to attribute that claim to liberals because liberals are not only racist, they are from the party that did NOT want the Civil Rights Act to pass. It was Republicans who pushed the Civil Rights Act through in 1964, much to the shagrin of democrats, after which the dems knew they had to wrap their arms around this minority in order for anyone to continue to support their socialist causes.
Here's news for you. My children are black and white. My granddaughter is a little more black than white. My children were raised conservatively, have great educations, and hate no one. The majority of my children's friends are black some coming from less than desireable backgrounds, some coming from good backgrounds. Lots of black people call my daughter names. The black people I know at my age did not like Affirmative Action because it demeaned them. Compensatory justice is a joke. If that were the case, then white people have been slaves all over the world at one time or another in the world's history. Perhaps white people should be running all over the world asking for your money, your compensatory justice. I think not.
I will end by saying my ancestors did not own slaves. My ancestors came here from Germany. My father was a naturalized citizen from Luxembourg having come to this country when he was 6 months old with his American monther. I have encountered many black people who are as racist against whites and hispanics as the KKK is against blacks. It is all stupid and self-serving and for those who endulge in it, repulsive.
No there is no such thing as reverse racism. Racism is racism regardless of ethnicity and to think otherwise is sheer stupidity or ignorance. Pick one.

This is a question for which I would have to write a very thick book to answer.
I will just say that based on my observations, many people are unaware of what racism actually is. They do not know that the condition of racism is not as simple and clear-cut as the definition given in Webster's.

The truth be told. I feel that Racism, is only a symptom of our human desire to be the Alpha. If you think about it, every special interest group in America has their own agenda and therefore trying to override every one else's civil rights by forcing us to accept or even bend over backwards to accommodate for a small group of people who for reasons or another don't fit in. If it is true that all men are created equal, that they are equal endowed with the same Rights. However, the ADA or ERA has become tools for our government to control and oppress the true minorities in the workforce of America, the White middle aged American male.
I mean just look around. In my town you don't see a homeless black man.
